Statistically speaking, about 60% of you should get this.
Real number: about 42%.
UPDATE:
Now that the replies have stopped coming, here it is.

Like what. Do they complain about it or what?

When I first got glasses, I remember getting a lot of mileage out of walking up to coworkers, looking at them, and going “Jesus Christ!” and hurriedly taking off my glasses. I was not very popular in that office for some reason.

I am getting glasses for the first time... I don’t know what this means....
![]() 03/15/2017 at 15:07 |

And yet, you would be popular with me. Perhaps I should not apply to that office.

They might, but that’s not the problem.
I’ll clarify but I’m going to wait to see how many get it first.

You’ll figure it out... or you’ll get a lot of funny looks. I’ll clear it up in a bit but I’m going to see how many figure it out first.

your response when people say you look different/can I try your glasses?
![]() 03/15/2017 at 15:10 |

Speaking of clarifying things, it’s amazing how clear I can see everything. I must have been really blind. Here, look through my glasses. Crazy right? What’s your prescription?
![]() 03/15/2017 at 15:12 |

It this a “how many fingers am I holding up” thing?
![]() 03/15/2017 at 15:13 |
|
Nope. You’ve got the right side (new glasses dude) but that’s not the thing.
I’ll clear it up after some more guesses come in :)

Can you see see this?!
![]() 03/15/2017 at 15:14 |

is this the “how many fingers am I holding up” or “Can i see how bad your eyes are”
![]() 03/15/2017 at 15:15 |

I can’t remember, but you’re dead right. I remember looking through magazines going “nice try, stuff doesn’t look that awesome in real life”. Then I got glasses and it was like “shit, they really do”.
![]() 03/15/2017 at 15:16 |

Nope. It’s a very subtle thing.
![]() 03/15/2017 at 15:17 |

Nope. A very subtle, not (most of the time, though it would be a good cover) even intentional thing.

Are you saying you push up the bridge with your middle finger?
![]() 03/15/2017 at 15:18 |

I must not be part of the 60% because I don’t know what TMW stands for.

Pushing your glasses back up your nose?

Someone uses their middle finger to push their glasses up?
![]() 03/15/2017 at 15:20 |

using your middle finger to keep pushing the glasses up after they slide down your nose?
![]() 03/15/2017 at 15:20 |

That moment when. I don’t usually do the acronym thing but I felt the title was already long enough
![]() 03/15/2017 at 15:20 |

Most convenient finger to push the glasses back up when they slip down, or feel like they slip down.

Are yo as what?
![]() 03/15/2017 at 15:21 |

Bingo.

Yup.

You got kinja’d. Now that I can see your whole comment, yes. Exactly that.

That’s it.
![]() 03/15/2017 at 15:22 |

That. Formal gatherings are bad places to get used to glasses.

I thought you were going to talk about the inflated prices of glasses frames due to the monopoly Luxxotica has in addition to it vertically integrated model of sale.
Guess not
![]() 03/15/2017 at 15:25 |

Nah. I don’t change glasses often enough to care.

I’ve never not on purpose used my middle finger to push my glasses back up.
![]() 03/15/2017 at 15:52 |
|
I can’t say I’ve ever had that issue with sunglasses. Is it just because prescription glasses have heavier lenses making them more prone to slipping?
![]() 03/15/2017 at 15:53 |
|
I use my pinkie to push them back up
![]() 03/15/2017 at 15:54 |
|
Lucky you. Based on how many got it I’d say you’re part of the lucky minority though.
![]() 03/15/2017 at 15:55 |
|
No idea. Probably more because you wear them all the time and they get more worn in and greasy.
![]() 03/15/2017 at 15:57 |
|
I punch myself in the face and dirty up my lenses using my pinky.
I like the extra reach of the middle finger.
![]() 03/15/2017 at 16:18 |

Ah, I mean I wear sunglasses 90% of the time, so I understand the pushup thing lol. Just thought you were flipping off new glasses people.

I just ordered a pair from warby Parker, haven’t gotten them yet. Will post a review, maybe.

Mine are full-framed Ray Bans so I just grab the arm with my thumb, forefinger, and middle finger as if it were a pen. Less goofy and more precise.
![]() 03/15/2017 at 21:21 |
|
The way my head is shaped that doesn’t work for me. Too wide a head for too narrow glasses (I mean it works and doesn’t look stupid but the arms are always out so wide they stick if I do that), and I don’t want to go any wider because they need to fit inside a hockey helmet.
![]() 03/16/2017 at 00:24 |

Yeah, width can be an issue for helmets. The optometrist was surprised when I came to pick out my frames toting a borrowed snell-rated full-face.
